how it works
A PHP (Plant Health Partner) is PEMU’s main field operator — think of the PHP as a trained crop doctor or farm technician who visits farmers to help them identify and fix pest, disease, and nutrition problems.
Where they work:
Each PHP covers a defined area (about a 5–10 km radius) and interacts with farmers daily.
Each PHP covers a defined area (about a 5–10 km radius) and interacts with farmers daily.
Diagnose problems
Inspects crops to identify pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
prescribe solutions
Recommends the right mix of products (foliar feeds, biostimulants, pest control solutions) and application schedules.
apply or supervise application
Works with trained spray teams to make sure the solution is applied correctly and safely.
Follow up and record progress
Revisits to check results, record data (yield, quality, Brix, etc.), and advise next steps.
organize farmers
Builds small groups for training, collective buying, or produce marketing when needed.
The PHP’s role is hands-on problem solving that improves yield and reduces crop loss. PHPs are the “face” of PEMU in the farming community.
